More Trailers
An initiative organized by the IPOS led HIP Alliance, which is made up of members from the private and public sector, “The Originals Get Reel Contest” was first launched in 2009 in collaboration with the MPA with the goal of raising awareness and respect for IP among the youth. Over 180 youths participated in last year’s competition, twice the number that took part in 2009.
The winning trailer “The Mortal Enemy” by Erwin Nah, 26, used Chinese sword fighting genre to depict the battle against piracy that threatens the livelihood of the film community.

What Are You Really Burning?
In 2008, timed to mark World IP Day, these “What Are You Really Burning?” trailers produced in cooperation with local film communities debuted over five days at movie premieres in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. This regional public awareness campaign was launched in partnership with local government agencies and IP offices and support from theatrical representatives and movie exhibitors in each country
What Are Movie Tickets
In 2009, the Intellectual Property Office in Singapore, supported by the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Singapore, organized a 30 second anti-piracy trailer competition nationwide. The winning entry was produced by three students from Nanyang Polytechnic. The trailer was launched in conjuction with the premiere of the movie “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.
